Nestled in the heart of the world renowned Timbavati Private Nature Reserve apart of the Greater Kruger National Park, lies Kambaku Safaris Lodge. The Lodge provides exclusive yet affordable accommodation that is meticulously designed, beautifully constructed and tastefully decorated to blend in with the charm and serenity of the surrounding bush. This lodge is proudly “Green” (eco-Friendly) in that it is powered entirely by solar energy. With only eight chalets, the experience at Safari Lodge is a truly intimate affair. This lodge is ideal for family holidays and caters for children of all ages. Enjoy the huge diversity of game, plant and birdlife either from a safari vehicle or on foot, and look out for the famous white lions of the Timbavati, the endangered African wild dogs, big 5, hippo & hyena to name just a few. Safari Lodge has 8 elegantly thatched chalets traditionally set around the camp waterhole. Enjoy the waterhole from the pool deck or upper deck, or simply from your own private veranda. Each chalet is individually decorated and is equipped with an overhead fan, beautiful four poster beds, en-suite bathrooms both shower and bath. The main lodge features a welcoming fireplace, small library & superb bar, whilst the upper deck provides a pool table for the younger generation as well as a games corner.
With a traversing area of 12 00 Ha, morning and evening safaris are always interesting and informative Opt for a walking safari to experience the intimacy of the bush on foot. Relax in the heat of the day at the pool, or make use of our complimentary transfer offered to River Sands and make use of the spa or the gym facility. Shop for local artefacts and mementoes in the curio shop; or delight in the bird life from the hide at Twins Dam. Experience our renowned warmth and hospitality during hearty brunches, delicious high teas and unforgettable dinners under the African night sky.

Insurance & Indemnity 

Although the camp is fenced, guest are required to sign indemnity on arrival. It is highly recommended that all guest take out personal travel insurance.

 

Cuisine 

We strive to cater for all tastes an dietary requirements and are happy to cater for dairy free, vegan, gluten free, Halal and banting diets. Unfortunaly we are unable to accommodate kosher diets.

Malaria

The Timbavati falls within a 3% risk area for malaria, however, it is recommended that prophylactic medications are taken when visiting. Please consult your local travel clinic or healthcare practitioner.
